Tomorrow Never Knows
Do you ever feel happy yet miserable at the same time? I don't mean physically sick or anything but just...."blah" is the best I can describe it.
Do you ever just have the feeling that you mustn't be where your at, and that you need to leave no matter what and never look back?
Do you ever know that things are going too perfectly that it feels all wrong for whatever reason?
Do you ever just stand in the rain and watch the world pass by for a few minutes?
Do you ever stop and listen to a street musician? Not for a minute, but listen to his set.
Or how about looking for art in all the oddest places? Graffiti, stickers, stencils, chalk drawings?
As of late the whole urge to uproot myself has been uber strong. My gypsy self has been urging me to get up and go. But the thing is I don't want to. Do I dare leave it all behind like my family has for as long as I can remember? Never, no I will not. But I feel like I'm in the wrong place and just want to fly away if I could like Superman.
I couldn't fathom the thought of leaving what I have now. Plus the fact that MTG and I are progressing along more than I would have imagined. I don't think I mentioned that we were friends for a long time before we ever got together. It's raining again. So you can't see the racing stripes of dirt on my car anymore cause the whole thing is filthy again. But upon getting out of my car after work, I couldn't just help but stand in the rain and let the drops fall on my face. It just felt right.
As I've mentioned before I'm a sticker fiend/art fiend. I doodle and post stickers everywhere I go. Not exactly graffiti but it's not exactly vandalism either. I'd like to consider myself a junior Banksy wannabe. Stenciling art all over that makes people think. For now I'm content to do this on the board room dry board at work. Although I have been placing stickers all over the building too. In mostly unreachable places. Say the ceiling in the men's restroom, the top of the elevator, on various ceiling tiles in the hall ways and on the side of the security camera downstairs. Oh and lets not forget the FedEx and UPS drop off boxes.
It gets kinda tense in the office from time to time. Mostly because its all women, and their either hot or cold or have some sort of tiff with each other. So they've all formed their own little clicks, which I stay out of. Although I'm generally welcomed by all cause I get along with everyone. I pretend to be buddy, buddy with Pterodactyl Lady and Senor Dry Toast. Though truth is I can't stand either of them and I absolutely abhor having to spend my day in the same room with them. Needless to say we go news today. Our head office is doing a social gathering, the head office is in another state. So this Friday they are taking off early and going and doing something like bowling and stuff. They want us to do the same. Problem is most of these women now barely tolerate each other as it is, so I don't relish the thought of having to spend extra time with them acting like their all friends when later they'll be talking smack about each other. Thus my need to do thought provoking art to clear the air and joke about things going on in the office.
I'm a bit relieved as last night I gave a presentation entirely in French for about an hour. It's a long story, (its for work) but I did it. Though I need to work more on my liaison's. It's not often I get to speak French so I cherish any chances to. MTG helped me immensely with this as she speaks it even better than I do. However MTG is out of town right now, playing tour guide for some friends who have never been to NYC. Basically driving them around and keeping them from making stupid touristy mistakes. However I have been getting daily calls and updates. And of course the "You're going to do fine on you presentation." message as well. Followed up by the missed call after the presentation, with a message that said, "Just calling to see how you did. I know it was great. Oh DON'T bother calling back, its like midnight and I'm tired and am going to crash from walking NYC all day. If you call I might get grumpy and snap at you. So be warned. Ok love you miss you, bye." After which I just laughed cause she did sound tired and I thought about calling just to annoy her, but figured I better not, cause I'd probably wake her friends up too, and then they'd all let me have it.
So there's no point to this other than to say I'm just feeling "blah". Who knows it's just a feeling. I'm going to finish re-reading a book I'm on and listen to a mix I just made which I am posting for your listening pleasure as well. Oh do let me know what you think. It's eclectic at its best.

More Bathroom Banter and Car Racing Stripes
However before that I must tell you about my racing strips that are now on my car. No I didn't have my car repainted. First all its been raining over here for a little over a month now, so during this time I haven't washed my car, cause...well it's always raining. Yesterday however was a gorgeous day. A few clouds here and there but nice and sunny. During lunch I went to fill up with petrol. I always pay with my card for everything, so I never carry cash. Now I'm sure that you all have too. So when you pay at the pump, when you're done it usually asks you if you want a car wash or not. (assuming they have one) Well this one did. Now I usually hand wash my car, carefully cleaning every nook and cranny and detailing it just so and making it sparkle. However since I was at lunch I couldn't do this, plus the fact that it's supposed to rain later on in the week again. But my car was too dirty for my liking. So I opted to buy a car wash. $7 bucks for the Suzy Q, as the machine read. It was the in between cheap and full wash. I figured I didn't want a once over but didn't want the full deal with wax either. So I opted for in between.
In the car wash I went. The machines buzzing around me water running everywhere. I get all giggly in the mechanical car washes for some reason. I just like looking at the water spraying but not reaching me I guess. Anyways I went through, it was done. By this time I had to drive back to work, so I didn't get out to check on the type of job it had done. Now I should note that this wash didn't have those mop looking swirly things that touched your car. This one used high powered water that swirled in circles to clean the vehicle.
So I got to work and was getting my lunch out that I bought and was trying to hold my bag of lunch and tea, and keys and close the door to the car without dropping anything. I did so successfully. Upon closing the door however I noticed, I had a line about 6 inches wide running down the middle of the car all along the side. The machine had totally missed that whole area. So I literally had a line of dirt all the way down the side of the car, the rest was totally clean but I had a line of dirt. I check the other side. Same thing!!! Son of a....!!! I was kinda mad at first but oh well, that's what $7 bucks for a machine to do the work for you does. Needless to say I have racing stripes made of dirt down both sides of my car.
So now on to bathroom banter. This is inspired by Happy Villan's tale of non-intentional self hurting. Oh and I should mention this was about a year ago as well, so I'm all better now. Oh and if your offended by low-brow bathroom humor, stop reading now. :P
It was one of those days where you don't have a clue as to what you want to do for lunch. So I decided Subway. Now I should know better cause for whatever reason Subway always makes me sick to my stomach after eating their sandwiches. But did I listen to my little voice in my head. Nope. So I had one. About an hour after lunch it hit me. My stomach started gurgling profusely. It sounded like a coffee maker perculating. So enough was enough, I had to use the restroom, and away I ran. Now at first everything was fine. No problems, I did what I had to do, it was all good.
However once finished I was at the sink washing my hands. The stomach started perculating again. Oh crap!! Literally!!! I ran back into the loo. My stomach doing somersalts and me trying to get the pants off. Unfortunately for me I made a mistake. Somehow without noticing I zippered up my shirt into my pants. Dammit!! There was no way to lower my pants without taking off my shirt. Now it wasn't a t-shirt or polo shirt, this was a button up dress shirt. So I'd have to either rip it off and all the buttons or take my time undoing every button. Double Dammit!!! I could barely hold it and was hopping up and down in the stall. (Are you on the ground laughing yet? You will be in a second.) With no time to spare I put myself in an awkward position and was able to sit on the loo doubled over on myself cause I couldn't pull my pants down far enough cause when I pulled them down I pulled down my shirt and my top half along with it. So there I sat head almost between my legs. Triple damn!!
Now the worst part was over, the next part was going to begin. The shirt was now firmly zipped up in the zipper and was not going to come out. So now I couldn't properly dress, and I'm at work too. Grrrrrr!!!!! So the only way I could get out of this predicament was to cut off the part of the shirt stuck in the zipper. So I took out my pocket knife. I always carry one. It's not a small one either, it's about 6 inches when extended. (What can I say I'm always ready for a monkey knife fight) I start cutting the shirt. It's a David Taylor so plenty more where that shirt came from. The knife made quick work of the shirt, cutting it like paper. But now there's a piece of shirt stuck in my zipper for all to see. I start cutting it into smaller pieces pulling them out of the zipper. I had just gotten to the last piece still stuck in there. But it wasn't coming out no matter what. So I put my knife under it to try to pry it out while pulling on the top with my other hand to get the piece out. Voila!! It came out!! But I used so much force the knife came out with it and lodged itself halfway inside the hand I was using to pull the fabric out with. At first I couldn't do anything but stare. Holding my hand to my face and looking at the knife in it. No blood, its just in there.
At first I thought. "Ah man that's creepy, but so cool". Then the pain set in. I kept myself from screaming, but was grinding my teeth together very hard. I pulled out the knife, wrapped tissue paper around my hand till it looked like the end of a Q-tip and pulled myself together. Of course by the time I got to the sink the tissue was a bloody mess and the pain was unbelievable. Needless to say I cleaned my hand and my wound and went back to work. Of course I also wrapped those brown paper towels around my hand and got weird looks from everyone. I never went to the doctors for stiches or anything, and it healed and you can't even tell now. But I still have the shirt hanging in my closet as reminder to be more careful, and not eat at Subway anymore.

MTG's Mix Tape (Destress)
1. Find You're Here - Wolfsheim
I've never heard this song before, but it's really good, must research on Itunes.
2. Secret - Madonna
Bedtime Stories!! Remember that Madonna album? I still have it on record. But I must say the main thing I remember was the video for "Take a Bow". Where she's rolling under the bedsheets. Grrrrowwwlll... :)
3. Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield
Dusty!! My second favorite song of her's, the first being Dusty's cover of "Ooh Child"
4. Surf Rider - The Lively Ones
I couldn't remember where I heard this. Then it hit me, Pulp Fiction, at the very end when Jules and Vincent walk out of the cafe. I wonder if she knows this, I doubt she's even seen the movie.
5. He Can Only Hold Her - Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse (Sigh***) I don't know why but I just love her. She's going to be playing at Austin City Limits in Sept. I checked on getting tickets to the Saturday shows (she plays Sat.)and the 3 day passes are already sold out. Nooooo!!!!!
6. As the Rush Comes - Motorcycle Boy
Gabriel and Dresden I love those guys, this is before they mixed just under their names. If you haven't heard it check it out, its an awesome chill out song.
7. Satellite (radio edit) - Oceanlab
This one isn't hard to find on mix CD's but it's never been released on CD singles. How she got this version I dunno. I'll have to ask, the only single version I have is on vinyl.
8. Wonder - Natalie Merchant
Everytime I hear Natalie or the 10,000 Maniacs I can't help but think of my cousin. He was a Natalie Merchant freak. He had a wall sized poster of Natalie from the Rolling Stone cover she did way back when. Literally it took up half a wall, I kid you not.
9. La-La (Means I Love You) - The Delfonics
Ohhh..I love the Delfonics. They can make anybody melt.
10. Sand in My Shoes - Dido
I like Dido so I guess that's why it's on here. Good song too.
11. Gabriel (Nelle Hooper Mix) - Lamb
I love this version of Gabriel. Lou Rhodes provides a haunting but calming effect with her vocals. Listen if you never have.
12. Jump (For My Love) - Pointer Sisters
I love this song. Makes me want to boogie, like Huge Grant on Love Actually.
13. Maybe I'm Amazed - Wings
I can't help think of the flying pig on the Simpsons.
14. Just Be Me - Kristy Hawkshaw
Very nice, good chillout song.
15. Malaguena Salerose - Chingon
Dir. Robert Rodriguez's band. These guys are awesome. I'm dying to see them in concert. And just announced, their album is supposed to be available everywhere as of last month. Good thing payday is Friday. Best Buy here I come.

And a rose that is fading
Roses whither away
Like the sunflower
I yearn to turn my face to the dawn
I am waiting for the day . . .
(I this tune whistle at my desk)
So I sit at my desk trying not to implode from the sheer stress of my project. My left over fajita lunch calming me as I type. Although it would be helpful if I had a margarita or at least a Cornoa to drink with my lunch.
Y: Anyone know where this company went to?
Pterodactyl Lady: Nope (insert explicitve) Sorry
Senor Dry Toast: Well it might have gone into...
L: How should I know.
Me: (Whilst on the phone on hold for one case, typing a note with my right hand for another, writing a note on another case with my left hand, [And yes I can write and type two seperate things at the same time, it's a gift and a curse] headphones hanging off my head, reading other blogs, and news, and making a playlist on my work PC for music to destress too. I'm a huge multitasker.) That company turned into (so and so) and then turned into (so and so) and then merged with (so and so) and eventually was acquired by (so and so).
Y: Where are they at? Do you have the number? (I instant message the number and contact info while doing all the other things.)
Pterodactyl Lady: I thought that company went into the FDIC...blah..blah..blah.
Senor Dry Toast: I don't think it did, cause...blah...blah...blah...
L: Don't ask me, I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Y: Well this case here has this document that says...blah...blah...blah..
Me: That's cause it almost went into foreclosure, and blah..blah..blah. (Customer Service rep on phone finally answers...I answer back) Yes I need to get...blah...blah..blah (Back to Y) Check the listing on the system, I think I updated it with the info. (Back to Customer Service)
Pterodactyl Lady: Man Artful, you blah...blah..blah.. How many requests...blah...blah..blah..
Me: Talking to rep on phone again.
Pterodactyl Lady: Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were talking to me.
Everone laughs.
Pterodactyl Lady: I know I didn't know he was on the phone, all multitasking, making us look bad.
Me: Just rolling my eyes.
And thus this is how this day is playing out. MTG's nanna is still in the hosptial, so I must go again after work. I feel the vein in the side of my head starting to bulge out, and I'm tempted to run down the hall screaming. So what do I do? What am I in the mood to hear? When suddenly I'm in an Andrew Lloyd Webber mood. I add Phantom of the Opera and Cats to the playlist. Ok I admit I like his stuff...a lot. I love the Phantom of the Opera, I've seen it so many times that I know it by heart.
Cats is actually a recent favorite. I've seen the show twice. First when I was little. My parents took me. And to be truthful, the people in the costumes and makeup scarred the crap out of me. I still kinda get the willies to this day. But the music, I just had to listen to. I liked it, I mean I liked it, I really did. But the people were too damn scarry. I remember (can't remember who sang it) Memory, and I knew the show wasn't that scarry after all. I saw it again a few years back, and it wasn't.....as scarry. But I still liked the music.
I think this all came about since I saw most of the Concert for Diana at MTG's friends house when in Chile. Andy Webber did several productions, and Connie Fisher's rendition of 'Memory" was amazing. So I'm listening to that right now. Just because. I don't care who's watching me enjoy my music. I need it or I'll start punching holes in walls. It's been a long day.

Coffee and Cigarettes
This cafe where I go to from time to time, it's little and uneventful and usually has no one around. (Which I guess isn't a good thing from a business point of view) I would come here and read at lunch or blog on my laptop, like I am right now. Plus work is just around the block so I can walk back in under 2 mins. But it's changing now. The hustle is here. But its an odd hustle. It's just a bunch of men in here. It's like a men's watering hole. Seriously. Just a bunch of men eating by themselves, having their coffee and cigarettes with their ham panini. It's weird.
Their all businessmen from the offices around and the car dealerships. Almost all of them have their blackberries out or ear pieces in their ears like the Borg. No talking just eat, read the paper, and out the door. The foods not that great now too. I ordered soup and had to stop eating it cause it so salty, Like a bowl of salt. I told the owner who also does the register and she gave me a sandwhich gratis.
As I sit here there is this a man who keeps glancing at me. He offered me half the paper that he was reading when I got here. Now everytime he gets up he walks past me, not that there's anything wrong with that but I'm not anywhere near him and he has to come out of his way to do so. My freakdar is reading a 10.0. I would have left but he already did.
One of the men that leaves, left his cigarette smoldering in the ash tray outside. It's a Camel, I can tell from the smell. I had an uncle that smoked those, unfiltered nasty things. I usually don't mind cigarette smoke but this one just stinks. Blah!
Finally as I type a few women come in and sit down outside too, breaking up the monotony. There's no point to this post. Nope none what so ever. Other than I might have to find a new place as this one isn't quite what it was.
Ob La Di, Ob La Da
Unfortunately life just jumps back at full force. I come back to find that I've been assigned a multi-million dollar case at work. (Yay!!...as if) Crap these files are so screwed up it's going to take me forever to get this done. So much research so little time. Half these things must be done by Friday. I'm a legal person, not a freaking wizard. How on earth people let things get this messed up for this long is beyond me. (Note to readers. If you are ever in a legal matter, be it real estate or anything, always, always, ALWAYS, keep your records for as long as you are alive. It will always come back to bite you in the ass when you least expect it, and if you don't have your papers your screwed.)
Ok so enough ranting. Here's a snippet from what almost got me in trouble on our trip. Well in trouble with MTG.
So her friends took us to a club. No biggie, it was a rather nice one too and it played pretty good music. We went there and all was well. MTG and I sat around drinking and talking with her friends for the first part of the evening. I danced a few dances with MTG and some of her friends, no biggie. Well, as the night went along MTG was being asked by some guys to dance with them. Now I'm not the jealous type but they seemed to have more on their minds than just dancing. So I was uncomfortable.
These guys waited until myself and another one of MTG's Chile guy friends went to get some more drinks. They pulled MTG's gal friend to dance and she pulled MTG with her. So when we came back there they were on the dance floor grinding all over MTG and her friend. Grrrrr...me no likey, Artful Dodger, angry, you no likey when me angry. Ok a little exagertaged there, I held my temper. But I should say I felt like that guy from the Mountain Dew "Vault" commercial. Have you seen it? The one where he goes to get his gal a drink and that hunk guy tries to steal her by giving her a pearl and he gets upset so he goes diving and brings her back a ton of pearls and lays the smack down on hunk guy. Yeah that was me. I was "pumped" and about to do something stupid.
From the dance floor MTG mouthed to me, "It's not my fault." Which pretty much made me laugh silly. Then she mouthed, "Get me out of here." and I was on my way. Little had I walked a few steps onto the dance floor than I was pulled into a dance by the Pisco Capel girls, (just like the Smirnoff girls you see at the club). So yeah...there I was having these (ok I admit it) drop dead gorgeous girls grinding on me. And well it was like "Woohoo!!", but at the same time I saw MTG giving me the evil eye from the other side of the floor. Uh oh, forgot to go get her from the He-man's that had abducted her and her friend. D'oh!!
Needless to say I had to stop dancing and pull MTG from the He-men, and we went back to our seats.
"What?" I mutter giggling.
MTG: "Nothing."
Aw crap, the nothing answer. I'm in for it.
MTG: Nice necklace (she points to the plastic beads with shot cup attached the Capel girls put around my neck)
Me: Uh..yeah I guess it is. (I take it off and put it on her. It looks nicer on you.)
MTG: (Trying not to laugh as she speaks) It does. Wanna go out and get another one so we can match?
Me: Yeah!!! (With Enthusiasm and a spark in my eye)...oh....I mean..no that's ok. Ones enough.
MTG: (now laughing) Dork
Me: Yep that would be me.
Needless to say we didn't stay much longer after that. We went to her friends house and talked and I danced with MTG only to some music her friends played. So fortunately I dodged the "Nothing" bullet. Though some how I think this will come up again in her favor. Me thinks, but hopes won't.
Well lunch time is almost over. And I need to get back to the office. And just as I'm typing MTG texts me that her nanna is in the hosptial and she'll be there. I think I might have more time for one more post. Then I guess its to the hospital after work.
Exit Artful Dodger stage right.

Just catching up
So while MTG continues to take her hour plus long shower I'm taking full advantage of free broadband in the room. While I patiently await my turn in the bathroom. (I'm to tired to bang on the bathroom door and yell. Ok so actually the door isn't even closed. But you get the idea.) So serveral of you have meme's that I believe I've been tagged with. Right Beth has them all down in a nice neat package so I'm going to use her setup cause all the meme's are in a nice little area to find.
So here we go.
Eight Bookish Things About Me
1. I still have all my Dr. Suess books that my mum bought me all those years ago. I even have them in the Dr. Suess carrying bags that came with them. That's back when my mum would order stuff from the coupons from the Sunday paper.
2. My favorite book of all time is now "Love Is a Mix Tape". I fell in love with this book the moment I saw it on the shelf. The cover grabbed me. I read it, I cried for Rob's loss, I was happy for the good times in the book. I see things a bit differently now reading it. It really clicks now that I'm with MTG. Really....in a very good way.
3. I still colour in colouring books. Which are my second favorite type of books after my first which is fiction.
4. Fourth are sticker books.
5. I read fiction. But not like Dungeons and Dragons or fantasy beast or wizard and elves and such. I could never get into that whole genre of books. I picked one up once, and couldn't force myself to finish it. I didn't interest me. I like fiction but taken from real life. Stories about normal (normal as in regular people) people that have things happen to them. Like, Monte Cristo, (personal fav) 10,000 Leagues, Last of the Mohicans, Robinson Crusoe. My latest favorite fiction book is "The Spellman Files" by Lisa Lutz. It's hilarious. When there's lines like, "I think I'm liking camp now. Their teaching us how to snort cocaine. I'm gonna like it here mom and dad. P.S.: Send money, lots of it." Of course you have to read the book to know what's going on. It's a great read. I recommend it completely. Especially if you have siblings, you'll laugh your butt off.
6. I read comic books and graphic novels. Thanks in part to my older brother. He got them read them and then gave them to me. I loved the art in them more than anything else. Which was good cause it helped me start drawing and painting etc at a young age. So much so that when I was in school I was offered an art scholarship to a rather large recognized art university, but turned down because, well...gypsie stuff. Forever on the move, thanks to the parental units. The one mistake I think moving cost me. If only...what if I would have gone....(sigh)
7. Scholastic, remember that? I truly hope you had that in school. I was always excited when they had the book fairs at school. I begged my parents for money to buy books whenever they came. I always got books on dinosaurs my favourite animals. Oh and bookmarkers. I always had to get a monkey shaped or lizard shapped bookmarker.
8. (sigh) I don't have authors that read my posts. :( But I do have a small but loyal list of awesomely cool readers. You guys rock.
8 Musical Notes
1. I DJ from time to time. When the mood is right, maybe twice a year. And when I throw the party, you better be ready to dance.
2. I still have tapes of me, subbing for the DJ that I used to do when I was little. I would record the songs from the radio. Splice the tape, record my own DJ retoric and the splice it all together. Sometime I would DJ on the fly, record the music talk on the mic while the DJ was annoucing over the radio and then record the music. I still listen to these tape from time to time, just for kicks.
3. My favourite artist is Paul Van Dyk. Favorite song by him is "Forbidden Fruit". When I heard that I was taken to a whole new world.
4. I got started listening to trance/techno/dance music about the end of high school. Like really into it. I mean I listened to it before, but wasn't truly into it. I would listen to Daft Punk, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, etc. I loved their stuff, danced to it, but didn't know there was a whole life scene about it. It wasn't till I heard Alice Deejay that I truly got into the whole scene. I'm not saying I'm a raver etc, but I really got into it.
5. I heart Depeche Mode
6. Lyrics I live by: I've been through many times in which I thought I might loose it/The only thing that saved me has always been music/......../It's no question life's been good to me/'cause life ain't nothing but a good groove/A good mix tape will put you in the right mood - Beastie Boys - Professor Booty
7. Nina Peerson totally snubbed me at a Cardigans concert. I waited for an autograph and when it was my turn she got up, looked at me, and went into the tour bus. I was so mad. I still like their music.
8. If you make me a mix tape/CD anything music like, I'm yours.
8 Things about me, boring plain regular uneventful things
1. My favorite animal is the lion. Why I dunno. I have little lion statues at home and my office. But they have to be cool looking. Like my replicas of the ones at the Central Library in NY.
2. I have what I call Monkey Paw. My ring and pinky fingers are almost always curled. It's weird. It doesn't hurt. But I can't straighten them at the same time. When one is straight, the other is curled. It's weird. I can straighten them at the same time but it hurts like heck. My muscles in my hand and arm strains and it just hurts.
3. I don't worry about the huge amount of typos when I'm posting. I'll post it as is with errors and all. Which I'm sure you've noticed as you've read. However I do go back and scrutinize all the errors after I post. And it drives me nuts. I have to be 100% correct all day at work when preparing legal documents so I kinda could careless the rest of the time.
4. I kinda have my own gibberish (gypsie language) that I use. I picked it up from my mom. It's just really fast speech. (Think Brad Pitt in Snatch) Just running all the words together. Those closest to me understand it. But when I'm with someone new and I get excited and talk that way, yeah I get looks like, what the? Or when I'm upset I do it too. It's a mix of English, Spanish, French.
5. I collect things. Like figures and stuff. But not regular toys and stuff. More like very hard to find figures and vinyl toys done by artists. The kind of stuff you'd find on KidRobot.com. Though lately I've had a thing for Star Wars Bust-Ups by Gentle Giant. I dunno why but I think the clone troopers are so cool looking. I have a small army of them on my desk at work.
6. One more month and I turn 26. Ah crap.
7. I'm a prankster. People say it's always the quiet ones. That's so true in my case. Watch out for rubber chickens where you least expect them.
8. Hey the new Transformers comes out today. I'm so gonna see it when I get back. Me and my brother had almost all the toys then growing up. Although we had to wait for the Megatron toy to become a tank cause our mum didn't allow us to have the first verison when he was that giant blaster gun. Our mom didn't like us to play with guns. She tooks the guns away from our GI Joes so we had to make believe. But oddly having a Megatron toy that turned into a giant war tank was ok. On the other hand my mum didn't know we went to my older brothers best friends house and played with his dad's guns. Imagine a group of kids ages 7-13 playing with guns. And I was the best shot out of all of them. Needless to say we never told mum we fired off the elephant gun a few times. Though it took all of us to hold the darn thing up.
Ok I'm done. That was exhausting. MTG has been out for a while and wants to go out to eat before tonight. Hey they have McDonald's here. As for who I'm gonna tag, uhm...who ever wants to do this, go for it. Cause everyone I would tag has already done this. Oh I know. I tag 6th Floor Blog. Though I don't think they would all do it individually. Hey maybe (assuming you even read this) you all can do it as a group. One or all of the meme's.
Sadly holiday ends on Friday when we fly back. Oh well.

Holiday Picture Time

There was Scottish dancing marching people here. Why I dunno? But they are neat to watch. They have just about the same cereal that we do. Estrellitas are the smashing. MTG friends had them and I ate some. I'll have to bring back a couple of boxes.
How can you not resist going on a horse and buggy? We got on this one right after the snapshot. How touristy can you get? I think I somewhat embarassed MTG cause I kept blowing kisses at people as they passed by.
At the metro. Very NYC no?
Flower arrangments at the market.
Check out that old school lorry with 4 doors. Rarely see that in a small lorry (truck).

Flower clock. This looks so much like Niagra Falls in this area.

The hotel and in the inside.
Will update later. Gotta get ready for our next outting.

Picture time yet again
This is a picture of my nephew. Ok it's a pic of a pic I have on my desk. It's grainy from the mobile cam. But he's the only boy after my brother and I to carry on the family name. All of our cousins on my dad's side are all girls.
Baby sitting. Ok so I babysit from time to time for a good friend of mine so the can go out for a while and relax. Their good kids and don't cause trouble so I have no problem in sitting. MTG took these pics. The last one is a nice moment of calmness. Right after the pic was taken the little boy pushed his sister off the couch. Only to have a pillow thrown at him in return.
Sometime things work out right. Lookie a Hungry Man dinner for lunch. Ok nothing spectacular really but if you look closely none of the ingredients are mixed together. There was no corn in the brownie!! No corn!! It made my day.

Lastly I found this picture on Flickr. I dunno who it is or where it's at but I love it. It said on the comment, "4 am standing in the street". I like it cause this is something I would be doing. On the weekend of course.
And just a note, I leave this weekend on holiday and won't be back for two weeks. I'll try to post again before I leave, but if not, don't worry I haven't forgotten about you. My faithful all like 5 readers. :-P Who knows if I can find a good wireless place that isn't too expensive I might post down there too.

Whatnot
The sexiest fruit is the fig, followed by the peach, the plum and the pomegranate.
The least sexy, the Frankenberry.
People who call ping-pong "table tennis" will always beat you.
Wishing we were all still connected on a super-continent known as Pangaea, is probably not the best use of your time.
You cut the fat, you cut the flavor.
No one will tell you the chicken salad was not made today.
Although a failed business is correctly described as "defunct", it does not follow that one that still is opened is called "funct."
Always keep your receipt from Radioshack.
Female pastry chefs are to men as male architects are to women.
There are words to say when playing touch football. "Got you" is fine. "Touchdown", expected. But "Hey too hard!!", that's a no no.
People who are eager to get married can be trusted as much as people eager to get elected.
Because even smiling clowns are scary.
If a Halloween costume is unavoidable, it must preserve your good looks, involve no makeup, and be easily removable in the event of passion.
And the guy in the gorilla suit gets sweaty, not lucky.
Satan loves parents who give their young children rat-tail haircuts.
It's ok if you're overweight. As long as you can dance.
Self-cleaning ovens usually aren't.
Certainly it's your perogative to be difficult in restaurants. Just as it's a restaurant workers prerogative to place unwanted fluids in your meal.
If you are uncertain how much cologne is enough, you are not allowed to use cologne.
The correct description for a photograph of someone else's baby is "Adoreable." Have this word ready to go before the photograph is shown, so that even if the baby is shockingly ugly, you can still utter "adoreable."
A complicated coffee order impresses no one.
The words "Bruckheimer" and "first date" do not belong in the same sentence.
The words "dirt cheap" and "sushi" do not belong in the same sentence - or, rather, if they are in the same sentence, that sentence also often includes, "intestinal parasite".
"Irregardless" is not a word, irregardless of what you say.
